Review on 🔭 CIPA 11050 Suction Cup Rearview Mirror, Black, 8x4 Inches by Tsuyoshi Tendencies

I love the mirror BUT realized (like many reviews) I couldn't trust the suction cup. I replaced the suction cup assembly with a Garmin GPS mount (10-10747-00) for an additional $14. This lever-operated suction cup provided excellent suction on the windshield of our small ski boat when the waves were rough. The field of view when using a mirror is excellent. The Garmin mount ball is inserted into the rearview mirror mounting hole after removing/inserting the two Phillips screws. The Garmin sphere was 1mm larger in diameter than the original mirror mount, so inserting this slightly larger sphere required silicone spray and heavy pressure. (I used a soft, folded towel under the front of the speculum to protect it during insertion.) The speculum is still firmly held in its set position after using silicone insertion spray. You can adjust the tension with screws to the desired resistance. I would give 5 stars if I didn't have to buy a new suction cup. That was the only way to get a transom on our ski boat because the canvas roof didn't allow it to be attached to the window frame.
