My previous iPad had a protective cover. I ordered this case for my new iPad to protect it shortly after it arrived. I didn't expect the carrying strap or wrist strap to be part of the case. I don't necessarily use these features, or maybe not yet. I don't use this tablet in the field like I used to, so I don't carry it around with me all day. The case for me is just protection around the house and on the go. I could see the benefits of both, particularly the fact that the strap can be rotated to adjust it the way the user wants. I'm not a fan of the strap blocking the stand or that it blocks the tablet. from being on the table. It would be nice if the strap was removable.
