A Skincare Must-Have

All in all, this box is worth the money. After using it to work through boots, bags and a leather jacket, I know what I will continue to order from the menu. Leather Oil: I used this to restore an old pair of leather boots that hadn't been properly cared for. the last few years. Worked well and will probably oil them again before putting them away for spring. I leave the oil on for 1/2 day before applying shoe wax. You have to use quite a bit for the bottle to last a while. Conditioner: Nice subtle citrus scent that fades throughout the day (although I prefer unscented products). Apply sparingly or you may end up with a dull residue that will take some effort to buff. Used it on a new pair of Frye boots (grey) and a tan leather jacket. Boots darken a little, but lighten up after 1-2 days (with subsequent waxing). The conditioner provided water resistance, but there won't be enough protection if you wear them in a humid or snowy climate. It didn't change the color of the jacket, although I definitely should have used a lighter shade. Used on boots and jackets at least 1-2 times a year to keep the leather soft and conditioned. Shoe Wax: Has a subtle pine/juniper scent which I didn't like. Luckily he disappeared after 24 hours. Apply generously to 2 pairs of boots to protect against winter precipitation. It is also applied to a genuine leather bag (not dyed or coated) in a very light layer. Outstanding results in all areas. Leave for 12-24 hours, then buff lightly with a soft cloth. I'll probably use it sparingly on my leather jacket instead of conditioner next time it needs a treatment. I love this product but I'm not crazy about the scent. I will definitely have a jar of this remedy on hand. Saddle Soap: Doesn't appear to have any added fragrance. Removes water/salt stains well from boots prior to conditioning/waxing. Works best with a small horsehair brush. Dip the brush in water, then shake off excess water. Apply foam (creamy, not foamy) and apply to boots. Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth and allow to dry before treating with other products. Such a glass will last a long time. Packaging: Everything is nicely packed in a box with a hinged lid, which can be used for food storage. My only complaint is that there are no instructions for use on the containers printed on the box. Checked on the internet to get a general overview of how to use the products. What You'll Need: A small round horsehair brush for use with saddle soap, soft cloths for applying conditioner, wax or oil, and clean soft cloths for buffing conditioner or wax. Overall I am very happy with the shoe care products and will definitely be buying wax and conditioner regularly to keep my boots, jacket and leather bag in top condition. The extra care means they last a lot longer and it's great that the only animal by-product is beeswax.
