I love platinum blades and am a bit skeptical about their price. You are good, very good! I decided to test the blades in my 1930's Gillette New. These blades are double wound and coated with wax. The first night was a 3x shave with Old Spice Cream. The blade shaves effortlessly with audible feedback. I had DFS. My second shave in 3 passes was the same shave with an Arko washing machine. I have BBS! To me they are almost identical to the Astra SP. I hope I get the durability that the Astra can offer. The only problem, albeit a small one, is the glue not sticking to the individual boxes. They were open when I took them out of the main box. My problem with Gillette blades is that almost all of them are made in Russia. I'm not cool with that! These blades are made in India.
