My daughter is 10 years old, thin and slightly below average height. 8 Slim fit her perfectly. The skirt had an adjustment in the waist, but in the photo it is as it came with no adjustments. She can tighten it if she wants. The fabric feels comfortable and durable. The only thing I didn't understand is that it is NOT pleated at the back. I think the pleated back gives a little more room to jump and play. I don't think this will be a problem but will update if it gets in the way of her moving around the playground. Overall the skirt is adorable and my daughter immediately asked for another one.
