The cover fell off during installation.

Very, very bright! FYI, they emit most of their light around the perimeter of a clear lens. NOT directly at the end of the lamp. I bought two and one of the lenses fell off when I installed it. I glued it back on and added a few drops of glue just in case. The supplied rubber grommets fit very thin materials. If you want to install them through something thick, you'll need to insert your own grommets or get creative.
