I typically wear a small or medium size shirt, but I also have a large bust so I often order larger sizes in button up tops. I ordered both the large and xl and decided to keep the xl. the large did fit, but I was worried about shrinkage after washing. Washed the XL as per tag instructions, and saw no visible shrinkage. the sleeves are very roomy. so if you have larger arms, these may be a better fit for you. I am 5'6" 148lbs and 34G.
