I was a bit hesitant based on the reviews but I needed something my daughter could wear to riding camp for a week and they worked great and lasted five days of full day camp. I wasn't sure when she would need these boots again and the alternative was to spend $150 on actual riding boots. They did their job, they lasted and I don't mind if she outgrows them before she wears them again. They appear to be of normal height, but the fingers are quite narrow. At first they were a little uncomfortable in the ankle area, but that was remedied with thick wool socks. No blisters, the skin was not rubbed, the sole remained intact. A little wear around the edges but looks like they will last a few more weeks. Good affordable boots if you don't have to wear them forever. The photo was taken after a week at the camp.
