Hard edges on ribbons

I ordered these ribbons for the upcoming holiday and received them a little disappointed. When I opened the package, I found that the red bow had some weird sticky white material attached to it (I'm assuming it was glue), and many of the nylon headbands had hard edges sticking out. Although they seemed very valuable, my daughter would only be able to wear a few of them, which makes me sad because they are really cute.
