I would like to start by saying that a chemical peel is NOT A REFERENCE MASK. I've seen reviews on here complaining about the mask not peeling itself off. It's an exfoliant, which means it cleans and polishes your skin. 1) Be sure to do a patch test! It literally takes 30 seconds and can save you a lot of trouble. I made mine under the chin as instructed. 2) Start slow! It is recommended to start with 30 seconds. However, being a retired esthetician with a strong focus on skincare, I knew what to look out for. I started at 1 minute. 3) some amount of LIGHT, a "burning" or warm feeling is normal. 4) It will not have the same performance as in the spa. They are extremely dangerous in untrained hands. However, this one is pretty good! 5) A little goes a long way, so I can see it lasting anywhere from 6 months to a year depending on how often I use it. If you do it as recommended (every 3-4 weeks) it will DEFINITELY last a year or more. I plan to do this more often when my skin tolerates it. 6) Make sure you use moisturizer afterwards and don't go to a tanning bed or use foundation after application!
