MADE IN USA ceramic bowls!

I ate the recalled plates from the wholesale market for a while. Not good. But now that I know that, I quickly replaced them. I wanted something made in the USA. It's harder than it looks. PRACTICALLY ALL the tableware you will find is imported from China. As far as I can tell, Corelle is one of the FEW cutlery items made in the USA. So, some basics. This is glass ceramic. Thus, it has a glass-like look/feel. At the same time, it doesn't make any "glass" noises. Surprisingly very similar to a standard ceramic bowl. Just MUCH lighter and a little thinner. I have 2 of these at home. So when I went shopping, this manufacturer was of course on the list. It ended up being the ONLY thing left on the Made in USA based list. The price is a bit high but $17 for 3 isn't too bad. especially taking various factors into account. Save American jobs for one. union work. It was packaged in a box with the US Steel Workers' Union logo on it. That alone earned him 5 stars in my book. Easy to clean (nothing sticks to the glass) and if dropped it can take a hit. Unlike ceramics. Since it is glass or ceramic glass, it does not stay hot for long outside of the nuker. Give it a minute and you can touch it with ease, unlike pure ceramic. Food stays warm until you're done. To be honest I don't know how it works, but it works. Cools down quickly but food stays warm and keeps warm. I listen when someone wants to explain lol! These bowls hold almost nothing as they have a 28 ounce capacity. That's very impressive. food in a bowl. They fold well and dry quickly because they are made of glass. Overall 5 stars in the shade! No comparison to American quality.
