A normal lamp for its price. I bought them in grey. Advantages: 1: Wired, non-wired 2: Has its own switch so it can be plugged in with or without a wall switch 3: UL listed heavy duty lamp holder. 4: The braided line is adjustable so it can be completely hidden if you don't want the braided line to be exposed. Cons: 1: The wire holder is quite fragile and cannot be detached without damaging it once secured. 2: The hue and color look cheap. Very thin metal. The paintwork isn't the best. It would have looked better in hammered paint to offset the cheap tint. 3: If the wire is fully retracted so that the wire is not visible, the bracket with the bulb will not remain stable and will hang perfectly straight. It would have been better to have a recessed socket on the J-Bracket so the lamp socket would remain stationary. 4. Made in China. . I hooked them up to a 12vdc solar system with 12vdc incandescent bulbs so the bulbs look better with this type of bulb as it gives them a retro look.
