Looks smart, it's a heavy box, about 2 pounds, a little longer than a thick paperback but just as wide. It seems more formal than strict. I compared it to my Anker Soundcore Motion+ and Earfun Uboom, which are impressive speakers in their respective categories. It has a much bassier and fuller sound than Uboom. I will say that it will easily outperform any of the "high beer cans" like the Flip, Ue Boom, or Tribit Stormbox. Much louder and more bass. When compared to the Soundcore Motion plus, the sound was comparable, almost identical in volume, the Arisen's bass was slightly deeper (though not as deep as the larger Soundcore Motion-Boom), although it lacked the sparkle and clarity of the highs. movement plus.
