Good watch for the money. The date is too small to read easily but it was not bought for the date. If you don't need to adjust the strap, you're in good shape. If you don't think it comes ready to use, search the internet for "customizing an anne klein watch strap". You will find that this requires special tools. We were able to make a watch and bracelet holder out of wood and it turned out we have something suitable for stamping a pin that holds the bracelet segments in place. It wasn't easy, but we were finally able to remove the two links and put them back together. There is no guarantee that other watches would be easier. I don't want to give it away because of the difficult adjustment of the belt.
