Made of plastic, making bearings light and easy to assemble. When I placed my grandson's child's Kindle on it, the Kindle lid actually landed on two legs. No issues with it coming off and legs not getting in the way of seeing the full screen. I think what surprised me the most was how it folds up into such a compact circle that can be stored away fairly easily. However, it came in two packs and I have to order two more because I know I have it. Would love to have it on my desk at work and my husband will need it. Quality and design - what I need! I'm not worried about my 2 and 4 year old grandsons breaking it because it seems to be quite durable. This is a product that I am happy to support with my 5 star rating!
