This shift knob is fairly easy to fit and feels good in the palm of your hand. Because it's mostly metal, it gets pretty hot or cold depending on the weather. However, if it's particularly hot, this can be mitigated by simply unscrewing it and placing it in the glove box. It is important to remember that when purchasing this product you may need to remove your current trunk lock and therefore may need to purchase an adapter at an additional cost. The finished product looks great, works great and looks really solid. So far I haven't had any problems with color abrasion with this product.
