I'm more than happy with it. It was easy to assemble - just read/follow the instructions to make it sturdy. I have 2 cats, 11.5lbs and 10lbs. In fact, they can sit on it without fear of it falling off. It's big enough for them to reach out and lay their heads on it. I'm happy to report that they both scratch him (although one cat seems to have picked him up and is trying to chase the other away). Also at the base there is a nice carpet that the cat likes to lie on. The price wasn't bad, especially considering it's in use. Not too noticeable in the room, this cat tree is almost invisible when placed next to the high back accent chair. I bought this to give cats something new to scratch on a new piece of furniture. It's been over a week and it's still working - the new chair is cat claw proof! I sprayed catnip on the scratching post carpet to attract cats. They even played with the included toys. Hair loss isn't a bad thing, in fact there are more cat claws than carpet. I will definitely buy it again after cats scratch it too hard.
