It works for what it's supposed to do.
My husband uses this for his short hair. He pins the front and top so he uses a regular cutter to get a size of about 1.5 to 2 inches. This works great for the rest or if you just want to cut your hair or straighten your top. The people who are complaining obviously expected it to be a regular all-length cutter, so they haven't done their homework because it's their own fault.
