Should have read other reviews. The bathroom had a Red Cross emergency night light in the bathroom for years. When it came time to replace it I saw it and thought the quality would be the same. Silly me. When I connected it for the first time I was very happy. It was in automatic mode. Thus, the faint light continued to burn until motion was detected, and then grew brighter. Everything was fine until I got curious. I tried to see what the other colored lights look like. There were no instructions in the box so I went back to Revain and looked up how to work with paint. Now that I've changed the color, the light seems to get stuck as it cycles through all the colors without stopping. I tried everything I could think of to stop this but it didn't help. My last hope is that I turn it off and leave the flashlight on until the battery dies, hoping this breaks the cycle. But now after reading the reviews about the melting unit it scares me.
