Review on 🍾 Expandable Wine Rack - Rabbit Houdini by Jeremy Lane

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect size, very versatile

I had a 4 compartment shelving unit (see photo) with fabric baskets in my bedroom. We no longer needed it in the bedroom so I took out the fabric baskets to use for other storage and moved the empty shelf into the living room to use as a wine rack. To keep the bottles safe, I needed specially designed wine racks *inserts* to fit inside the crates. But every standard/wooden insert I've found has always been oversized, usually intended for a countertop (and relatively expensive). When I saw that these Houdinis were only 8x8 I was ecstatic! I knew they would be perfect. And it's just the two of us (me and my husband) so we don't have to store an awful lot of wine. It has some grip and also prevents it from scratching the wood. It should be noted that these shelves are so light that if you remove the wine bottle(s) from the bottom row and only leave ONE bottle on top, they can become unstable. himself (because now he is heavy and unbalanced). So make sure you only have 1 bottle left to move it to the bottom row. Otherwise it works like a charm. Buying an actual wine rack would cost a lot more than $20 (for 2 of them) and I would also be wasting a perfect piece of old furniture. These small Houdini extendable wine racks were the perfect way to turn an unusable piece of furniture into our new favorite! :)
