This 30 color Unity Eyeshadow Palette is a great palette for beginners to experiment with eye color. I know it's supposed to be all eyeshadow, but I think this palette is more than that. The top tier has a matte beige shade that I apply to the entire lid first to even it all out. The other two large pots on the top row are markers. And on the bottom row, you have two shades that act as a blush and one that acts as a bronzer. Square pieces in the center of the palette work better as eyeshadow than rectangular ones. There are three pressed glitters in the palette. Pressed glitter is not considered safe for eyes in the US, so use with caution around the eyes. The matte shades in this palette are fantastic. They are very pigmented and look just like they did in the pan. Unfortunately, metallics lack shine. I actually had to build them up and even then the sparkles and sparkles were very subtle. I like that there is a corresponding mat for almost all metallics. Makes the look easier and makes the palette less complicated for the beginner. The packaging also deserves attention. This is very thick/heavy card stock. Really good and strong to protect shade. Overall, I think this is a good rainbow palette for those who are just starting out with color. The fact that the metallic is so weak really puts me off. If they were as bright as matte, I would be obsessed with this palette. I do not recommend this palette to those who have a large collection of iridescent shadows.
