I'm excited about the night watchman! First I ordered a hard night shield 1mm thick, but it was very thin and I was afraid I would chew it through quickly. Thin is suitable for people who don't grind their teeth a lot. I messaged them and they recommended a 3mm soft inner/hard outer protection and were able to do it with the casts already sent. I received my new night protection in just a few days and I was blown away! This is a truly high quality product made by professionals. The fit was absolutely perfect and very comfortable. The soft interior isn't rubber, but a different type of plastic that's fully integrated with the harder plastic. You can't even say there are different levels or anything like that. It's very durable so I'm not worried about wear and tear on the inside. The night shield fits snugly to the body while feeling thin and light. Another great thing is that I don't act like a nerd when I talk and I can drink water at night without taking it out without any problems. When I open my mouth it doesn't come off, and I haven't woken up to find it came out in a dream or anything. This used to happen occasionally with store-bought homemade night masks (which was annoying and embarrassing when my husband found them somewhere in bed). regardless of stress. That's why I've been using makeshift night guards made at home for a number of years. They are mostly rubber plastic and wear out in 1-2 months at most for me so over time they often become quite expensive to buy as they cost around $20-$30. They also don't work because I still have pain in my jaw and certain areas of my teeth because they don't protect against pressure. I was hesitant to buy a lab made night watchman because I had one made in a dentist lab a long time ago but it was very expensive but very bulky and unsightly and I didn't use it for a long time. After that, I stopped using a night guard for several years, which led to severe enamel wear, and I've struggled with tooth decay and other dental problems ever since. So now I can't sleep without a night watchman and I'm so happy and grateful that I finally found a long-term solution! I will definitely be buying from Sweetguards again if I need another one in the future but I think they are made to last!
