When my friends ask me what's required for their baby registration, I always answer: white noise machine, Velcro diapers and suction pump. These diapers are a life saver! We originally had 3 small sizes and went to babies to buy more when my son was only a few days old. These diapers are so easy to use that they fit snugly around your baby and require very little manipulation from the baby to tighten. Another advantage is that the operation is easy for nannies to understand. I know my son's grandparents couldn't wrap a muslin blanket tightly, but they can with this one. We ended up with 9 in the smaller size and then 5 in the larger size. We used them until my son was 3 months old for sleeping and sleeping. We gave them up first at bedtime and then at bedtime about 4 months later. As much as I love them, I'll give them a big warning: wash them SEPARATELY. You can wash them with other Velcro diapers, but not anything delicate. Velcro will stick to other items during washing and pull on the fabric threads they are attached to if you try to remove them. You can also wash them in a delicates bag, but I found they didn't dry as well in a delicates bag. I make a batch with all the Velcro diapers and bibs together every few days.
