We live in a boy dominated house - we have 3 cats and 1 cat. The boys are between 3 and 17 years old and our princess is also 17. Princess Maggie is the apple of her father's eye and that's why we decided to order this very girly "princess castle" to keep them away from their rowdy brothers can. Unfortunately, the boys had other plans and immediately claimed Princess Maggie's castle as their own princely fort. Don't be mad at Maggie - she has the rest of our house to claim as her own. Pros: - Large castle/fortress of this size - the perfect size for both our Maine Coon kitten - Fluffy Pete and our 9 lb Norwegian Forest cat - Winston. From time to time they both snuggle up there to catch up on their beauty. e. beautiful dream! - Despite being VERY light, it has proven to be quite strong! Pete and Winston are 3 and 5 years old and still VERY violent. It's not uncommon to wake up in the morning and find her upside down fortress across the room, but still intact. Sheer "curtains" are perfect for jumping! Winston loves to "hide" in his fort and wait for one of his siblings to come by. He runs out for a quick fight. A small ridge on the bottom helps keep the washable mat inside in place. It would be great, if. The mat can be snapped or Velcro attached, but at least it stays INSIDE the castle/fortress. Cons: - Not necessarily a scam, but be careful of the size you choose. We ordered a large size which is perfect for our large cat - he CAN have a little more room but clearly does fine with what he has. The small size seems TOO small for most adult cats and small dogs. At $29 (the current value of a plus size), it's a bit pricey given the cheap materials. However, balance that with the joy and happiness it has brought to our furry family and it's well worth it. It may not be worth it for every pet. The sticks are very thin and light. The bleed is not perfectly aligned. The fabric is very thin. Just keep that in mind, but also remember that based on our experience of daily use over the past month, it's held up very well. Fluffy Pete and Winston reject these 7 paws!
