Very difficult to connect to Nest Wifi
Great product if you can connect it to Wifi which is terrible. Like all other smart devices, it requires a 2.4GHz WiFi network. I have a Nest WiFi system at home that only has one SSID for WiFi, which is an issue with this unit. Here's what worked for me: 1. Turn off your home wifi.2. Activate the mobile hotspot on your phone or tablet in the 2.4 GHz network with the same SSID as your home network and the same credentials as your home network.3. Then use a second phone with the recommended app to connect the device to the mobile hotspot.4. After connecting your device and adding it to the SmartLife app device list, you can turn off the mobile hotspot and turn on your home WiFi again. Voila, you should be connected.
