A quilt is a small square quilt. Made for hugs, not warmth. This one is perfect! I have bought this blanket 3 times and will be buying a fourth one before Christmas. I love this blanket and so does my baby. She will be 3 in February. She never goes anywhere without her blanket. You'll need more than one so you can always give her a clean one. Plus if you lose it or she leaves it, you have another one. Now we have three. One is missing, one got her dog here tonight, and the other one she's lying down on. I will buy another one to replace the one the dog tore. They are soft and easy for my child to take with me everywhere. They can take a lot of abuse and they hold up very well. They wash great. I have absolutely nothing to complain about and the price is great! It is very well made and gives my child the comfort they are looking for. My baby doesn't suck his thumb and has never taken a pacifier but wants his own blanket. If you are looking for a blanket then this is it. We live in the south and have very hot weather in the summer, but it's not hot in a blanket. It serves as a security blanket. This is truly a great purchase for any child!
