I liked it when we first got it. It was easy to assemble and looks good (for cat furniture). My cat likes to sit upstairs to look out the window and started using the scratching post almost immediately. However, after only a few months, the faux wood veneer around the lower platform began to peel, exposing the composite wood and looking rather ugly. I expect it to be in a year or two, but it shouldn't happen that soon, especially without a lot of movement or wear and tear. upset.
