I have some of the worst cuticles --- I don't take great care of them etc. They get pretty thick and my nails look pretty bad when they are they do not get enough attention. I even trimmed them from time to time. I know a big NO NO! LAUGH OUT LOUD. BUT, this little magical thing is amazing. After the shower, I re-wet my cuticles and begin GENTLE buffing and "buffing" with a sharp point. They come across great. If I'm very careful there aren't any protruding ends. My cuticles look and feel much better. Warning: This is a very abrasive tool (which I love) so you must be very gentle and careful when using it. I wouldn't have any other way because it's sooo effective. One of the best nail tools I have ever come across in my life. Seriously changing the rules of the game completely.
