I'm so glad I finally decided to do this - it was really worth it!

Ever since I found out I'm having a baby, I've felt overwhelmed by all the "things" people are telling me that I'm absolutely "needed." Honestly, since my daughter's arrival, most of the "essentials" I've bought or received have been gathering dust and being artfully marketed commodities. I was convinced that the "pump bag" idea was just a thing. Why would I pay $125 for a backpack just because it has the word "breast pump" in its name? Or because I'm embarrassed when people see me in heels? Let me tell you that there is indeed a reason. For the last two months after returning to work I have used an extra diaper bag to carry my breast pump (Spectra S2). Only the backpack didn't fit everything I needed, so I packed a pump with nipple shields and bottles in my backpack and carried a cooler to put my bottles and then my lunch in. Wallet, keys, phone etc. I then carried a third bag with me to take my daughter to daycare which had everything she needed for the day. Twice in the last month I've had to run home just because I thought I had something in one of my bags, only to find that I left an important pump part in the sterilizer or on the counter. Not only that, my back and shoulders were killing me with all the bags โ€” and walking around with all the bags hanging on me wasn't an easy trick. In the end I broke down and bought this bag. It was wonderful! Firstly, I can't tell you how easily everything I need fits in. Today I had my pump, a Medela cooler with ice pack and 4 empty pump bottles, my hand pump (which I finish each session with), my lunch, my keys, my wallet phone, my bra for hands-free pumping, an umbrella, travel glass of coffee, a Pack of disinfectant wipes and a wet/dry bag. There was still room for more. The backpack was also comfortable to use and didn't feel like I was carrying too much. Not only that, I haven't had to unpack in my entire life just to get my pump as it stores in its own easy to access pocket. Although I still think most of the products sold to new moms are just advertisements - I'm so glad I invested in these. worth your money.
