Lots of filling: Pillow for the bed

As it is adjustable I removed the filling until the pillow was the right amount. It's hard to judge, but I removed at least a third. I had enough left over to fill a four gallon garbage bag and then stuff a 20" x 20" throw pillow. I've never had a pillow like this before. I used a firm Tempurpedic pillow which was designed for side sleepers but is unfortunately no longer available so I looked for an alternative. People who sleep on their side usually need a high pillow so they can rest their shoulder. My Tempurpedic is a tall, solid block with a cutout on the underside of the front edge for the shoulder. This side looks like a cliff at the ocean that has collapsed under a ledge or overhanging cliff. The protrusion is placed between the shoulder and ear for support. Thought I could replicate this as the filling for this pillow can be moved. This does not work when the pillow is inflated like a balloon, which is the default condition. The edge of the knife is not suitable for neck support and the center is thick where there should be a recess for the head. The thickness of a full pillow with a sharp blade is in all the wrong place. As long as you don't remove a lot of filling and move what's left over to where you want. Then everything works great. I've never had a pillow like this, maybe I missed a detail. Not at all sure if it would work, I went with this one because of the price and see no reason to pay more. The product is very nicely finished. There's nothing cheap about that.
