Review on Tiietone Protection Protector Generation Anti Scratch by Bill Pulse

Inexpensive device protection

There are loads of reviews on this product so I decided to write one. I bought this for my new iPad and while I like it overall, especially for the price, I thought I would draw your attention to a few things. First, there is a sticker on the box that says "GUARD FROM GOD". I thought it was funny. See my photo. Second, there are some issues with the instructions on the box. Step one says you need to clean the iPad screen with a microfiber cleaning cloth There is no microfiber cloth included It comes with a sealed pack of something like a wet wipe and a dry wipe I opened the pack of wet wipes and saw the smell of vinegar I had no idea if it was safe to use use was on the iPad screen or not. So instead I used the microfiber cloth I already had and that came with my glasses. The dry cloth that was in the sealed packaging felt like scratch paper so I have it also not used only.It also comes with a small sticker that says "Dust Catcher" that you can touch the surface of the iPad lightly to catch dust to include items etc. before putting on a protective glass. I liked this sticker. I shined a bright flashlight on the screen while it was black to see any dust particles to remove along with the sticker. This step is not in directions. I did this over and over again because there were more and more dust spots on the screen after cleaning. I don't know what that says about the cleanliness of my house. I would suggest turning off any fans or other air sources nearby to prevent dust from being blown back onto the screen. The second step is to remove the protective film from the back of the screen protector. There is a tab you can grab to take it off. It was easy. Make sure you only touch the protective film by the outermost edges. I accidentally got a fingerprint on the sticky side near my edge, but that doesn't matter since it's on the iPad's black box and not on the part of the screen where you're looking at things. The third step is to apply the protective film. to the device. This worked well and it was easy for me to line up the holes for the home button and such. It says you need to remove the protective film from the front of the screen protector. It was a different problem because there wasn't one. There is no tab for one. I tried cleaning a corner with my nails to see if I could get it off because maybe it just didn't have a tongue. Vain. It looks like there is no removable film on the front. I sent my first one for an exchange, I thought maybe I got a defective one. The replacement they sent me didn't have the foil on the front either. So my guess is that despite the instructions it doesn't really come with it. The fourth step is to remove any air bubbles with a "bubble seal card". He's not coming. My first didn't come with anything like that, and neither did my replacement. For this step I used one of my credit cards. After first aligning the screen protector and placing it on the device, I applied a little pressure in the center and then most of the entire bubble underneath disappeared on its own. However, some smaller bubbles remained around the edges. Pressing hard with a credit card and scraping along the edges removed them all nicely. Okay, now that I've been detailed, I have a few more things to say. First, this screen protector didn't interfere with snapping the device into an external protective case that I also purchased. That was good. Second, I have no idea how much this screen protector actually does for your eyes. These so-called blue light blockers are currently not regulated. I don't have a device to test how much blue light still goes through the protective film. So I take these things with a grain of salt because there's no real way of knowing if our eyes are better protected than if we just bought a plain clear protective lens.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • too blunt
