Dressy-Casual top not sweatshirt-like

I thought this shirt was going to be more cottony and comfy.but it’s actually on the polyester/smooth feeling fabric that you could wear to work, church, or a casual dinner with a necklace.I am usually a L or XL. With shirts like this I would want it to be roomy rather than fit "perfectly”. I would say this shirt fits on the small to perfect side. I bought the XL and it fits like a 14/16 rather than a 16/18. It is a bit see-through also. I purchased the grey with the blue stripes. I will need to wear a tank under it to both make it not see-through and to provide warmth. This shirt does not wear like a sweatshirt- but like a nice shirt.I am pleased with it once I readjusted my expectations.

I gave this item 5 stars because it’s adorable. The material is thin but still very nice. I will be sending it back in exchange for my normal size. I listened to the reviews and sized up and it is way too big. I’m normally a large and ordered an XXL and it’s way too big. I think even an XL would still be too big. I wish I would have just ordered my normal size, because this top is made to be loose and slightly oversized. For reference I am a 36DD and I’m 5’5” and weigh 165.
