Review on πŸ’‘ Hella 500FF Series Driving Lamp Kit: Illuminating Performance for Superior Driving Experience by Jose Schweigert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beautiful, good value for money as well as style.

This is what I wanted to replace the stock fog lights that I lost when I replaced the factory bumper with an ARB Bull Bar bumper. According to reviews, they should work well, bridging the gap between fog lights and high beams. They come with round white covers along with mounting brackets. They also came with a blue Hella badge on the lens. The wires are about 6 inches long and were made in India. As 55 watt lights, they should be good for traffic and inclement weather. A plastic back seems fine, but be careful with assembly, it's always good. Just don't over-tighten them until they line up where you want them to show. away as soon as my high beams, and not be blinded by oncoming cars when they approach. (insert emoji) These headlights, along with the jumper harness, allow connection to the factory wiring harness on my 2003 Chevy 2500HD/Silverado. This is a great price for what you get. True YELLOW glass lens that looks great on both modern and vintage cars. Having a plastic back panel might not be such a bad thing for those who live in extreme weather conditions. The idea of not rusting for a season or two can be a good trait. UPDATE: 6/19/2013 Number 3. Wow, I bought this over 2 years ago and I'm back on page 74 of the review sites. It seems that people either love her or are less than happy. Either way, buyers have an opinion, and they don't hesitate to tell others about it. Currently I haven't had any issues with water ingress or anything else related to exposure to the elements. On bumpy, wavy country roads, the headlights stayed tight and the housings did not break due to vibrations. They also didn't overload my factory fog light switch (fuse). As I mentioned earlier, the amber lens version is less intrusive to oncoming drivers than the white lens version. It could also be due to the fact that drivers are becoming less sensitive due to the increasing use of factory-bright LED car headlights.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
