I bought the #20 toothbrush for my 11 year old son. I thought it would be a good idea to clean his braces because of the nick, but the bristles turned out to be very harsh. He couldn't brush close enough to remove the plaque near his gums so I tried to brush him gently and the bristles cut his gums. My husband doesn't like the soft bristles of a toothbrush so I thought this would be perfect for him. Just seconds after brushing, he says he doesn't like it because the bristles are too hard. Because the bristles are very hard, we used them to clean the tiles in the shower and they did a great job of getting rid of the gout. At least we found a use for it. Not totally lost? I only recommend this toothbrush if you have a metal mouth or hard bristles.
