Disappointed with screen protector

This screen protector was ok at first. Unlike safety goggles, it has a rough surface. After some time (two weeks) of using this protector, the roughness to the touch became smooth (only in places) and it became really cloudy. It's blurry and the more I touch it the blurrier it gets. It's almost a bold frosty look. I'm very disappointed because everything seemed to be going well. Installation was easy. I'm pretty sure I'll have to remove it next week because then I won't be able to see through it as it smudges with every touch. Cleaning doesn't help.
