I was hesitant to try the purple shampoo but wanted to lighten my hair so it wasn't yellow or another coppery shade. When I initially tried this product I only did it for about 2 minutes and was afraid to continue because I didn't want my hair to turn purple. Needless to say, I wasn't very happy with my result on the first try. I wanted a few months and tried again. This time I left the shampoo on my hair for 6 minutes. When I saw it in the mirror I was very happy with what I got. I highly recommend everyone to try this product. It also has a pleasant smell so it's not overpowering at all. I use it before straight hair and then after washing my curly hair. You can see how light my hair has been bleached so you can get an idea of where I started. My only complaint is that this shampoo is very drying to the hair upon application. Hair feels tangled and dry when product is in. Has no moisturizing properties at all. Make sure to use a very good leave-in conditioner after use! Tip: Rinse with cold water for best results!
