I lost a lot of weight and now my midsection area has loose skin & I have to wear higher than high rise bottoms so I got these after seeing them. They are high enough, not grandpa style, but high enough to help me & really like the way they feel. I don't like the bikini cut legs & these leg opening aren't too high or wide. Also, the leg & waist bands don't cut or hurt & so far they've stayed in place. My only issue is with thee material weigh, its a little thicker than I like. Its nice for Cool weather but a little stuffy for wearing in Summertime in the Northwest. Otherwise, I'm happy with them & will buy more when I need them.
