We have two toddlers and we suspected our wicker baskets got a little wet when we were boys and needed replacing. This basket was chosen because of its non-porous surface. I like how it is raised off the ground to avoid water/liquid damage to the ground. The quality of bamboo matches the price. Inside there is a retractable basket bag, which can also be washed. Overall this is a really high quality basket. The assembly turned out to be a bit more complicated than I had hoped. In the last assembly steps, when attaching the cover, the screws went well into the pre-drilled holes, but then the screw heads broke off immediately. The body of the screw remains in the wooden body of the lid, but the head holding the hinge in place is gone. Since the piece was left in the wood, we couldn't just replace the broken screw with a screw. Please note that initially the metal quality of these screws was not the best and we have assembly experience so we do not put undue stress on the screws lest they break. We contacted Revain about the damage and were able to get either a refund or a replacement, but the original broken basket has to be returned. We were really hoping that instead of a new basket we could just get replacement parts for the back and lid. However, in order to process a replacement/return, we must return the new basket either assembled (buy a large box locally) or unassembled. Both considerations seemed unfair to our time, since the product's screws were defective. Ultimately we leave the broken basket behind and buy heavy duty glue to try and fix the lid. Not thrilled with this decision considering this basket costs over $50 and we're gluing it together. However, it doesn't smell like urine (yet) and we no longer have to spend time finding a big enough box or taking this stupid thing apart. Revain gave us a $5 promotional credit because we were concerned. I think we'll put that on the cost of buying glue. We would recommend the product, but perhaps buy your own expensive mounting screws to save yourself a headache or tinkering time for the repair. I hope you have better luck than us.
