Fantastic monitor works great, bright enough, great colors. After seeing the unique encoder mount on the monitor I thought I could mount my encoder on the monitor. You can do as shown. NP -Any size battery would weigh too much and give half as much run time as if both units had the same battery Via the 8.6v dummy battery, the cable monitor and encoder overheated when I tried to power the batteries I solved the power supply issues without using a dummy 8.6v battery and running the monitor off the lower 12v output of my NP batteries, this works great by having both devices via a 1.12 -V wires are powered from my 2 NP battery daisy chains through the monitor to the encoder, no heater works continuously as i have batteries for turning, i use them but ic h had to use 12V power or a 1NP battery installed in the monitor. but it is too heavy and has a short lifespan to power both the encoder and the monitor. Great monitor and cool mount, just know the performance requirements.
