Review on πŸŽ’ Olive Drab Condor Venture Pack by John Martin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

better than expected

Wow, better than expected. Excellent construction, apart from a few plastic latches I'd say on par with my Maxpedition. The buckles can be swapped out if needed, no problem, they just feel lighter. Form? It's personal taste but the pockets and storage are great for me, I have a first aid kit and a Geigerrig Hydration Engine resident, I add foldable spaces for other external storage, the large computer bag fits my 13-inch -MacBook, haven't tried it again, PC everything doesn't carry it anyway, checked just in case. The hydrator bag is perfect for the Geigerrig 3 liter drinking water motor, the pump fits snugly under one of the elastic straps on the shoulder strap without pinching or impeding access. Molle sticks also work well with it. Function? Been on a 2+ mile hike and a 3+ mile hike to get back in shape and packed it with various 'heavy' stuff including a collapsible rifle and other stuff, about 40lbs each time (remember to get back in shape). I have a weak lower back from years of muscle damage at the gym and other "hobbies" and was able to do both hikes with no back, neck or shoulder pain (with some adjustments and with a waist belt). The 2 mile hike was about 500m of elevation gain for the first mile and then descending again so there were no issues with balance, shifting etc. Pulling up the side straps also made the hikes noiseless. Great for bagout, great for hiking.
