Pole (even 5 stars) is great, my 13-1/2lb cat can jump and climb on it. He loves seaweed sticks, we had shorter ones (half the size). This cat doesn't care about cardboard scratching posts. Unfortunately (1 star packaging) this was not shrink-wrapped and shipped in its box (not another box) and the courier placed it just under the melting snow from our roof (it was 2ft from the door) for Luckily it was found earlier He had been wet for too long and was able to dry him off so he could spend the day in the sun.
