I wanted something I could use to work from the couch without having to lean over my laptop on the coffee table. I like to sit cross-legged and this allows me to do so even though my knees are sticking out to the sides (like between the legs of a table (for reference, I'm 5ft 5in). You can adjust the height, that means nice ) I put it all the way down to sit cross-legged. There is a small stopper to prevent things from sliding off the table when tilted. There is even enough space on the table for my computer (Microsoft Surface), a notepad and a cup of coffee! I really didn't want to spend a lot of money on a laptop and am very happy with this purchase! Now I use it. Plus, it's cute enough that I don't mind leaving it on the wall when not in use.
