The quality far exceeded expectations. I was looking at a skirt (which looked like a lining, not a quality skirt) from a national department store chain that cost four times the price of this skirt. This one is durable and heavy and also has a lining. It's not super shiny satin. Looks and feels high quality. The pockets are deep and not secondary so they don't protrude and aren't visible unless you keep your hands in the pockets. It hangs well and if you are looking for a ball gown I would suggest a petticoat with it. I followed the size chart and it fits exactly as expected. Since she is 5'1" tall and her heels are 5'3" (and petticoat) we hemmed her 1.5" and she fell right to the floor.
