I won't bore you with the details of the debate or the merits of DHEA. Suffice it to say for me that I think it works, which shows in my significantly improved fitness. We still don't fully understand how DHEA is used by the human body, so make sure you make judgments based on your own research, experience, and intuition. It is likely that the body's response to DHEA is complex and varies greatly from person to person and between genders, depending on a variety of factors. Until we know exactly what those factors are, this is kind of a shot in the dark. However, I include DHEA in a comprehensive nutritional plan and find that it offers significant benefits. Most DHEA supplements contain 50 mg or less. Most of the studies I've read that have documented the positive effects of DHEA have used much higher doses than most DHEA supplements offer. These are relatively economical 100mg tablets. You can easily get a therapeutic dose without taking 4-8 tablets of a lower dosage. If you choose to take DHEA supplements, this is one of the best options on the market today. Read the Wikipedia article on the subject if you want to know more.
