I've long been a fan of Crystal brand salt based deodorants, but this product is a big step forward. The problem with a solid crystal product is that there is no way to securely hold a piece of crystal. Reviewers have suggested wrapping the stopper in a wide rubber band so there's something to catch, but the problem remains: the Crystal product only lasts until it slips out of your hand and smashes on the floor or counter. This product solves this problem by turning the salt crystal into a long cylinder with a plastic base. It would be a little better if the plastic base was taller and provided more gripping surface, but I just grab the entire bottom of the cylinder which provides ample grip. Without the risk of dropping the crystal and ruining it, this pack of 6 salt cylinders will last indefinitely and save you tons of money compared to traditional deodorants. I should probably add that salt-based deodorants don't work for everyone, so here are some things to know. They stop odors, not sweat. They only work if you've already cleaned your armpits of bacteria before applying the salt (which prevents new bacteria from growing). For me this product is perfect. It is effective, non-staining, healthy and cheap. It doesn't get any better than that.
