New pump made in China. Rather troublesome to replace this with a transversely mounted V6 in a Ford Taurus. The pump hummed when it was first started. The car overheated and stopped. The next day he tweeted pretty bad, pretty annoying and embarrassing. It was loud enough that people walking by in the parking lot gave you strange looks. This pump replacement included flushing the cooling system, replacing coolant and distilled water. We just kept driving out of disgust because I didn't have time to get into it again. It did a constant chirping for a week or a week and a half, maybe 200 miles or so. Suddenly it was gone and never showed up again. No leaks, no chirps, so far so good. Hopefully it will last 100,000 miles like the original Motorcraft. TO UPDATE. After 8 months and about 4000 km the pump started chirping again. A few days later the pump whined and sounded like it was about to crash. What a waste of time. I just installed a new pump from my local auto parts store. The exchange took me about 5 hours. Don't buy any of them.
