This travel mug is great for when you have a short commute or want to have a hot drink in 15 minutes, but when you hope so, drink hot coffee in an hour, that's not your thing. I have several Copco mugs in different colors and they serve me well - they're easy to clean, they're safe to use, they have a simple yet understated design - but all I expect is my morning coffee during my 20 minute run drive, and my coffee is usually room temperature by then. But unlike disposable Styrofoam coffee mugs, you can pop this mug in the microwave to reheat when needed, so it's not a huge inconvenience. The slot in the lid is small so I wouldn't recommend this mug for thicker drinks like slushies, smoothies etc. Coffee, tea and other liquid beverages are fine. (I do have a Copco travel mug, however, with a different lid (sort of a flip-top lid) that's a little wider and might be better suited for thicker drinks - if you can find those lids.) I haven't tried it. Keep drinks cold in this mug, but I assume the mug won't keep anything cold for more than 15-20 minutes due to poor insulation. 20 minutes.
