Review on Nautica Rope Stripe Collection Blanket - 100% Cotton, Breathable & Ideal for All Seasons, Prewashed for Added Softness, Queen Size, Navy by Sandy Martin

I rarely leave negative reviews, but with all the positive reviews about this comforter, I thought I should share my experience. (I bought a white king-size comforter for my queen-size bed.) This is a beautiful and well-made comforter. It also looks exactly like the picture. and the price is right. Unfortunately, this is the most uncomfortable blanket I've ever used. It's rough and scratchy and feels like the canvas bags my grandfather used to keep in our barn. I've washed it, used fabric softener and dried it (leaving a large amount of lint in the lint catcher) but nothing seems to work. If anyone knows how to make this blanket soft enough to use on my bed please let me know. Otherwise I'll have to buy another one and keep this one in the closet. It's a shame because it looks really nice!
