So I bought this for my 1 year old who is trying to eat from a spoon by himself. We've been using long Munchkin spoons and wanted to try something shorter. When I realized it was for mashed potatoes and he ate larger meals, I still wanted to try it. The puree still managed to drip. He scooped something up so it just dripped in every direction because there was no "bowl" to hold it. He was struggling to get some food on his spoon because he kept bending over. Because of the flexibility, he was able to distribute food around the room. I love the concept and I think if I had a 6 month old who didn't know anything that might be the best experience. But having an older child, even mashing, wasn't worth it.
