We bought this camera for our daughter who is only eight years old but is very interested in photography and we wanted to give her a gift that she would love but would also bring her many benefits. She's been using our iPhones as a camera for years, so we thought a small digital camera (with no apps or phone capabilities) might make a good gift. That's a *good* camera. First, it's tiny. The last time I had a digital camera, it was big, bulky and heavy. This chamber is about the size of a deck of playing cards (but thinner) and much lighter. And when the camera is off, the lens retracts back into the camera and closes so you can slip it in your pocket without worrying about scratching the lens. It's very easy to use - just turn it on, aim and press. There's a built-in flash, optical zoom, and lots of built-in features, including lots of fun filters. My daughter mastered the camera and all of its functions after about twenty minutes of play. The photos she printed out were sharp and clear. After years of using the iPhone as a camera, I forgot how nice it is to have an optical zoom camera that takes sharp photos every time with a decent flash. I was tempted to get one myself as I usually take a lot of photos and having to take at least 5 each time with an iPhone to get a clear photo is a huge waste of time. Very tempting for the size and price. Highly recommended.
